How the systems work together
The five different systems in the human body work together. Without one, the body would not function. Here are some examples. The respiratory system helps the circulatory system by getting the oxygen to the arteries. The oxygen in the blood goes down the arteries to the parts of the body that need it, like the muscles. The musculoskeletal system helps the respiratory system because the rib cage protects the lungs. Otherwise, a soft punch would damage your lungs!

The Musculoskeletal System is also a big part to the Circulatory, Respiratory, Digestive and Reproductive systems too.
It helps the respiratory system because the diaphragm is actually a muscle! And if the respiratory system had no diaphragm… well it would be pretty hard to breathe. The musculoskeletal system also helps the circulatory system because the heart is a muscle and if you had no heart your blood would not be able to transfer oxygen to the rest of your body and that would cause big problems. The musculoskeletal system helps the Digestive because if the digestive system had no muscles... it would be very hard to break down food and to get the wastes out. The musculoskeletal system also helps the Reproductive system by helping the womb expand and contract. If a women's womb would not expand and contract the woman who is pregnant would have an extremely big amount of pain and would probably die.
